Something's always happening at Silverman's Farm! While the following chart will guide you in planning your trip, we encourage you to call ahead to make sure a specific attraction you're interested in will be available on the date you visit.

NEW YORK LIFE CHILD SAFETY & PROTECTION EVENT

Sponsored by New York Life - a child ID Event will be held on

Saturday, September 12, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Sunday, October 25, 2009 10:00a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Children are fingerprinted and photographed and ID cards are given to parents. In case of emergency, the parents have in an easy to find kit, the child's photo, fingerprints, and other pertinent information needed by the police. The information, due to safety and security, is deleted, no information is stored. Parents will also be provided a CD

A.J. Collier of Rowanwood Farm a hand spinner will be demonstrating

the ancient craft of processing natural fibers on a castle style wheel. She will display what needle felting and drop spindles are to show what other uses there are for raw fiber. She will explain why we still need to keep this art alive and why fiber bearing animals are still important in society today.

October After fruit picking, weekend tractor rides through our orchards. Enjoy the beautiful New England view -- you can even see Long Island Sound on a clear day. Call about scenic tractor rides after Oct. 31.

Harvest Season

Pick your own peaches, apples and plums. We have dozens of varieties! Please refer to our Apple chart

Late September thru Thanksgiving

Enjoy the harvest season with our decorated pumpkin patch, full of twenty different varieties of colorful fall sqashes, gourds, straw bales, cornstalks, scarecrows and colorful mums for your decorating needs. Guess the weight of your pumpkin within two ounces and it's free!

November - December Fresh Pressed Cider, Hot cider, Fresh Precut Christmas Trees, poinsettias, wreaths and gifts are just the start of what you'll find at Silverman's during the holiday season.
January - April

All through the winter, you'll want to stop by the farm market for our delicious pies, cider, jams, and other yummy treats! The animal farm is open year round.

Florist &Greenhouse Open - Country Collectible Gifts

Call ahead for winter hours.

May Celebrate Mother's Day with a beautiful flowering or hanging basket, dish garden, patio planters, or fresh cut flowers.
May - August

A great time for a birthday party at the animal park. Call for details.
