Something’s always happening at Silverman’s Farm! The following schedule is subject to change, so we encourage you to call ahead to make sure a specific attraction you’re interested in will be available on the date you visit.

SEPTEMBER 22, 2024 @ 10AM

Author Reading and Book Signing

We are thrilled to welcome back Aaron Burakoff and Trevor Crafts to the farm! They will be at the farm Sunday, September 22nd for a reading and signing of their new book The Apple That Fell Far From The Tree. The Reading will begin at 10AM, followed by a book signing and activity sheets for the kids. This event will be held on the Orchard side of the street and is FREE to anyone who would like to join in! Books and plush will be available for purchase at the reading.


J & D KETTLED CORN

It’s DELISH! This Kettle Corn is a staple here at the farm in the Fall months. It’s made in a state of the art stainless steel kettle and served up by our old friend and popcorn maker extraordinaire Jeff 🙂

Lucky Dog Food Truck

Lucky Dog will be at the farm most every weekend starting September 7 – October 31st. (weather permitting) They are a staple here at the farm in the Fall as well. Serving up hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, delicious fries and a lot of smiles!

Longford’s Ice Cream Truck

Yup! You Scream, I Scream, We all Scream for Ice Cream! Nothing better. Local, Small batch, all natural, premium ice cream since 1992! Come taste it for yourself. Another staple here at the farm in the Fall. This crew is on the farm most every weekend from September 7th – October 31st scooping it!

The Year At A Glance

Silverman’s Farm changes throughout the season as various fruit and produce comes into harvest. Here’s a general guide to how things shape up in a typical year.

Early Spring

Doors OPEN! The Market, Greenhouse and Animal Farm will be open for the Season. Follow us on Facebook, sign-up for our newsletter or call the farm for up-to-date information on the big day!

April-May

We’re back at it! Come celebrate Mother’s Day with a beautiful flowering or hanging basket, dish garden, or combination planter for Mom. If the weather has been good, blossoms will be adorning the orchard and Mom might like a scenic ride on the Orchard Express. The Annual Family Fishing Derby will be on the schedule and the Animal Farm is full of new arrivals waiting to meet you!

June

We’ll be celebrating summer with our Firefly Festival on June 14 this year! Our Animal Farm is still busy with new arrivals. The Orchard is changing every day and our blueberries and raspberries are nearing harvest. The Market is open and slowly filling with Silverman’s Own fresh fruits and veggies.

June is a great time for a summer birthday party at the animal farm. Visit the animal farm page for more information.

July

The first weeks of July bring the much awaited BERRY PICKING!! Raspberries and blueberries are ready and looking for good homes. Although we don’t offer strawberry and blackberry picking, Silverman’s Home Grown Strawberries and blackberries will be available at the Farm stand. Mid July will kick-off PEACH PICKING! Follow us on Facebook for up-to-date picking information.

The Animal Farm will host Story Time and Craft Time weekly this month while the kids are out of school. Free with your paid admission.

August

Peaches are abundant this month. Pick Your Own is going strong with berries, peaches and the beginning of Apples. Ginger Gold apples will be ready to harvest mid-August. Yes, Apples start in August!!

September

September is an exciting month at the farm. The cool Fall breezes start to tease us and we are in the thick of Apple harvest time. With over 20 varieties here at the farm, Apples are plentiful. Let the Cider start flowing! Our weekends are fun filled with entertainment, food vendors, face painting and the now infamous “Cereal Bowl”. Check in with our Special Events page to see whats happening! The Animal Farm is always open and our farm friends look forward to visitors.

October

OctoberFest is upon us. Enjoy the harvest season with our decorated pumpkin patch, full of twenty different varieties of colorful fall sqashes, gourds, straw bales, cornstalks, scarecrows and colorful mums for your decorating needs. Guess the weight of your pumpkin within two ounces and it’s free! It can be done! We give away hundreds of pumpkins a season. Start practicing!! Our weekends are still full with entertainment, Food vendors, face painting and the now infamous “Cereal Bowl”.

After fruit picking is over for the season, weekend tractor rides through our orchard begin. Enjoy the beautiful New England view — on a clear days you are able to see Long Island! Follow us on Facebook, sign-up for our newsletter or call to be up-to-date on Orchard openings and closings and when scenic tractor rides begin.

November

The market is overflowing with apples and fresh pressed cider. We have beautiful mums, ghourds, indian corn and pumpkins for your harvest decorating. We start to get ourselves ready for Thanksgiving Pie Orders. You can call in your order ahead of time or stop by the Farm Market to pick up a fresh baked pie for the holidays. We’re even open until noon on Thanksgiving day! Christmas trees are always ready the week prior to Thanksgiving for those of you who like to decorate with a belly full of Turkey!

December

We’re busy decking the halls! We stock beautiful fresh-cut Fraiser Fir, Douglas Fir and Concolour trees from 4ft-12ft. The guys will take care of tying it on the car for you and give your tree one last fresh cut before you take it home. We also offer beautiful handmade wreaths, mantle arrangements and centerpieces. Doesn’t get any better! While your browsing for holiday decor and gifts you can always warm up with a bit hot cider. Mr. Silverman always keeps it full!
